Dr Nicole Johnston (Project Lead)

Dr Nicole Johnston is the Associate University Librarian of Digital and Information Literacy at Edith Cowan University in Perth, Australia. Previously, Nicole also worked as a lecturer and  librarian in various roles in Australia, Ireland, Qatar and Dubai. Nicole’s career and research has focused on teaching and learning including research on user experience and behaviour and digital and media literacy.

Sue Hutley

Sue Hutley is the General Manager, Library Customer Services at Bond University.  During her career, Sue has worked in managerial positions in special, public and academic libraries and well as a not-for-profit Executive Director. Sue is also the ALIA Representative and past-Chair of Blue Shield Australia, a national committee of Blue Shield International, working to protect cultural heritage threatened by armed conflict and natural disasters.

Sarah Howard

Sarah Howard is the Associate Director, Library, at Queensland University of Technology Library (QUT) in Brisbane, Australia. With almost fifteen years experience in academic libraries, and a strong interest in learning and teaching, Sarah has a passion for open education resources.



Kat Cain

Kat Cain is Manager, Digital Literacy Programs at Deakin University Library. Kat brings a holistic framing to Library practice with a diverse background including academic, public, and special libraries. Kat has a passion for learning design and developing innovative, robust learning experiences. This often entwines with her other strong interest in digital capabilities and skills building.

Liz Walkley Hall

Liz Walkley Hall is Associate Librarian, Engagement and Scholarly Communications at Flinders University. She has a passion for leading teams to deliver excellent service. Liz’s professional contributions include peer reviewed journal articles, conference papers and book chapters as well as serving on ALIA committees, and as invited speaker at national and international conferences.

Frances O'Neil

Frances O’Neil, Associate University Librarian, leads faculty-facing and student-facing library and information services for Victoria University (Melbourne) facilitating excellence in university teaching, learning and research through the Library’s people, collections, and services.



Lindsey Fratus

Lindsey Fratus is Manager for Client Services at the University of Newcastle, where she is responsible for the delivery of front facing library services to enhance the learning, teaching and research experience of the university community. Lindsey has worked in a range of academic, legal and government libraries in both the UK and Australia in a career spanning over 25 years.

Dr Tatum McPherson-Crowie

Dr Tatum McPherson-Crowie is Library Manager, Corporate Administration at Australian Catholic University. Her research interests focus on problem-solving approaches to lifelong learning and workplace learning in higher education institutions, and has undertaken studies, worked in libraries, and presented conference papers in Australia, Asia, and Europe.

Arlene O'Sullivan

Arlene O'Sullivan is the Associate Director, Library Services (Collections), at RMIT. Arlene has been at La Trobe for 10 years and has held various senior roles during that time. Prior to La Trobe Arlene worked in the education sector for a private tertiary provider and in the government school system. Arlene has over 30 years’ experience in the sector, where she has continued to develop better ways to service ever changing customer needs and build successful teams.



Naomi Mullumby

Naomi is a Faculty and School librarian with over 15 years’ experience in Higher Education. Naomi specialises in building unique collection projects aligning them to teaching, research, exhibitions and other engagement opportunities.

Cicy Zheng

Cicy Zheng is CAUL's Engagement & Administration Officer. Cicy is providing event management and administrative support for the Conference.
