Terms & COnditions

Registration

Registration inclusions

All online conference registrations include access to all virtual sessions and all features of the OnAIR portal.

All workshop registrations include attendance at the nominated in-person workshop. Online conference access is not included with workshop registrations.

Sharing registrations

Each registration must be allocated to one person. Sharing of registrations is not permitted.

Payment

Payment must be made online at the time of registration.

Registration confirmation

A registration confirmation email will be sent to each delegate and, for group registrations, to the nominated group registration contact. For group registrations, only the nominated group registration contact will receive a tax invoice. For individual registrations, a tax invoice will be attached to the registration confirmation email.

Cancellations

You will be required to agree to Terms and Conditions (T&Cs) at point of registration, which indicates your acknowledgment that you will be liable for a cancellation fee if you are unable to attend. In the case of cancellations, please notify CAUL in writing via email at caul@caul.edu.au. Alternatively, a substitute delegate may be nominated. 

Online conference registration cancellations

  • Cancellations made on or before Tuesday 8 August (30 days before the start of the conference) will be issued a full refund less a $10 AUD cancellation fee. 
  • Cancellations after this date will not be eligible for a refund. 
  • Participants who are unable to attend are welcome to nominate a substitute in their place.
  • If you do not cancel and do not access the online conference you are still responsible for payment. In no event shall CAUL be obligated to refund all or a portion of the registration fee for non-attendance by a registered delegate.

Workshop registration cancellations

  • Cancellations made on or before Tuesday 8 August (30 days before the start of the conference) will be issued a full refund less a $20 AUD cancellation fee. 
  • Cancellations after this date will not be eligible for a refund. 
  • Participants who are unable to attend are welcome to nominate a substitute in their place.

If the online conference or workshops are terminated due to a Force Majeure occurrence before the first day of the conference, then CAUL will reschedule the affected online conference or workshop and your registration fee will be applied to the rescheduled online conference or workshop.

CAUL will not be liable for any interruptions, defects or shortages that may be caused throughout the event. This includes actions of suppliers, such as EventsAIR and its OnAIR Meeting Platform and Live Streaming platforms.

Participant responsibilities and acknowledgments

Your registration entitles you to access to the online conference and/or workshop for which you have registered. All other costs associated with your attendance shall be borne solely by you. CAUL shall have no liability for such costs.

It is your responsibility to ensure that you have access to adequate internet connection and equipment to participate in the Online conference. If you are unable to connect to the Online conference as a result of not having adequate internet connection and/or equipment, CAUL will not be liable and no refund will be supplied. It is your responsibility to test your access in advance of the online conference to ensure you are ready to access the event on the day. 

By participating in the online conference and/or workshop, you also acknowledge CAUL has the right to record, film, live stream, photograph, or capture your likeness in any media now available or hereafter developed and to distribute, broadcast, use, or otherwise globally to disseminate, in perpetuity, such media without any further approval from you or any payment to you.

All sessions will be recorded and made available to registered participants only. By agreeing to the T&Cs, you agree not to share the data, any recordings and/or any collateral material with others who have not registered to attend the conference.  

Changes to the event

CAUL reserves the right to change any aspects of the online conference and workshops, including but not limited to, the name, themes, content, program, speakers, performers, hosts, moderators and time. 


Submissions

By making a submission to speak at the online Conference, you acknowledge that you agree to the following terms:

  • the Conference organiser reserves the right to decline submissions that do not meet the requirements for the Conference
  • submissions must be the original work of the submitting speaker/s
  • at least one speaker attached to the submission must register for and attend the Conference to give the presentation
  • the presentation will be recorded and made available to delegates for a period of 12 months after the close of the Conference
  • all required materials must be submitted online via the Conference Presentation Portal
  • the Conference organiser reserves the right to publish your abstract via the Conference website, app and/or online Conference platform
  • the Conference organiser reserves the right to publish your slides in PDF format via the online Conference platform.

Sponsorship

By sponsoring the Conference, you acknowledge that you agree to the following terms:

  • Completing the online booking via the Sponsorship Portal constitutes agreement to sponsor the Enabling a Modern Curriculum Conference. By completing the booking, you confirm you are authorised to commit to sponsoring the event.
  • Full payment is due strictly within 14 days of booking. Failure to pay within 14 days may result in the package being offered to another organisation.
  • Sponsorship inclusions are outlined in the sponsorship prospectus.
  • No promotion of any kind will begin until full payment has been received. 
  • Sponsorship packages are not customisable. 
  • Sponsors are responsible for providing resources (including a pre-roll video, if desired (online sponsors), banner advertisement for the Conference platform (online sponsors), and content for Twitter posts (all sponsors) by agreed deadlines.
  • CAUL will work with online sponsors to allocate themed concurrent session sponsorships in line with vendor preferences where possible. 
  • Cancellation of sponsorship must be made in writing to caul@caul.edu.au and will incur a fee of 50% of the total sponsorship package if cancelled 30 days or more prior to the event or 100% of the total sponsorship amount if cancelled within 30 days of the event. 
  • The delegate list will include name, title, organisation and email address for attendees who consent to having their details included on the delegate list.
